Curriculum
Our curriculum for middle school students offers a seamless pathway to transition into various private or public high schools nationwide. Oceanside Adventist Elementary boasts a robust academic program aligned with both national and state standards. Innovative teaching approaches are integrated, encompassing progressive methods of instruction aimed at nurturing academic growth.
Instruction includes:
- STEAM integrated classes
- Pre-algebra and Algebra 1
- Accelerated reader program
- Classroom Bible study
- Common Core aligned math curriculum
- Rotating electives including art, origami, ukuleles, chimes, and wood shop
Standardized Testing
At OAE, our middle school students consistently achieve above-average scores on national standardized tests. Additionally, all students undergo MAP Assessments three times per academic year, providing educators, parents, and students with valuable insights into their learning progress. These results not only inform classroom instruction but also allow for continuous monitoring and celebration of academic growth throughout the year.
